The Carousel Picture Company was formed in 1995 by partners Tom Reeve and Romain Schroeder (who produced over 20 films together before that time through their previous company, Delux Productions Luxembourg). To date Carousel has produced or coproduced 17 films. Though independently produced, most of the company's films have had financial backing from major Hollywood studios including Twentieth Century Fox, Miramax, Columbia/TriStar, Universal, Paramount and New Line. Since 1995, Schroeder and Reeve have been working to develop a Luxembourg based film studio which thus far includes two main stages one of 22,000 square feet and the other of 42,000 square feet with additional stages planned in the future. The studio also includes post production sound facilities, edit suites, production offices, construction facilities, props stores and an on site restaurant.
